Someone who is anxious may be grappling with feelings of apprehension, powerlessness, or danger. We’re all familiar with the short-term effects” sweaty palms, rapid breathing, or difficulty thinking clearly. However, over time chronic continued anxiety can lead to symptoms more commonly associated with depression, such as loss of energy, fatigue, and feelings of powerlessness.
